Xiaomi Redmi 6 Officially Unveiled: The Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi has just launched their newest addition to the Redmi smartphone series by the name Redmi 6. The smartphone is the successor to Redmi 5 and will be available with 3GB/4GB of RAM options.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 has been launched in China for 799 yuan (INR 8400 approx.) for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model and 999 yuan (INR 10,500 approx.) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant. Coming to the specifications, the new smartphone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and exhibits a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density of 1440 × 720 pixels.

The Redmi 6 runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 and the phone storage is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Coming to the camera specifications, it gets dual camera set-up at the rear with primary being 12 Megapixels with LED Flash and 1.25μm of pixel size plus secondary being 5 Megapixels for AI portrait shots.
It gets a 5 Megapixels selfie camera at the front with face unlock and is equipped with fingerprint sensor at the back. The Redmi 6 is powered by 3000mAh battery and gets 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS as connectivity options. As of now, there is no official word regarding the launch of Redmi 6 in India. Xiaomi might launch it in India next month.
