The smartphones are being rumoured to launch in India on July 17, though there is no confirmation from the company's side. Xiaomi posted a video a few days back and said that it has picked its 20 earliest Mi fans and named actual stars in the sky after them.

The brand is trying new ways to promote its upcoming flagship smartphone. They recently started a Redmi K20 Pro Explorer program to select 48 people who will get their hands on the phone earlier than the rest of the prospective buyers. The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are the two smartphones under the latest K20 series. Both the phones come powered by the latest Snapdragon processor and features that are available in the market in the recently launched flagships.

The Redmi K20 series will seek direct rivalry from the latest OnePlus 7 series. The K20 Pro and K20 were priced at 2499 Yuan and 1999 Yuan respectively in China. For India, the phones are expected to be priced much lower than the OnePlus 7 series. The Redmi K20 can get a starting price tag of INR 19,999 while the Redmi K20 Pro is expected to be priced at INR 24,999.
