OnePlus Z 5G Smartphone Reportedly Coming in July 2020

OnePlus has recently announced its flagship OnePlus 8 smartphone series. The brand launched the OP8 and OP8 Pro at an online event. A lot of people were expecting the much-rumoured OnePlus 8 Lite aka OnePlus Z 5G smartphone to be unveiled along with the OnePlus 8 series at the launch event but the company revealed nothing about it. Recently a new report on the web has surfaced that suggests that the OnePlus Z smartphone will launch at a separate online event in the coming months. The Twitterati Max J. has revealed that the OnePlus Z would be announced in the month of July this year. As per a rendering of the smartphone, it will come featured with a punch-hole display. Earlier it was speculated that the ‘Lite’ variant of the OnePlus 8 will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipset instead of the flagship Snapdragon 865. If this happens to be true then OnePlus Z will become the first smartphone by the brand to come powered by MediaTek chipset. The render of the smartphone also revealed that it can come with the alert slider and power button to its right with volume buttons on its left side. It will get USB Type-C connectivity and a bottom-ported speaker grille. For optics, the smartphone will get a triple rear camera setup that will be housed in a rectangular module which will have a little bump. The smartphone is also expected to come equipped with laser autofocus along with the time-of-flight (TOF) sensor. The primary camera is rumoured to feature the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. The OnePlus Z smartphone would be the affordable variant of the OnePlus 8 series and it would be exciting to see what features would brand offer in the upcoming smartphone.
