Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Alto K10, which is one of the company's most important vehicles. It is undoubtedly a crowd-pleaser and is aimed at the general public.

The dimensions and specifications of the base STD model are identical. The standard model is similar to other variants in terms of design except for both bumpers, which are unpainted along the ORVMs and the door handles. Remote locking and front power windows are also not available on Maruti Suzuki Alto STD variants.

It doesn’t have power steering, which is pretty standard for cars in 2022. STD trims are also devoid of air conditioning. It has AC controls in the centre console, but they only control the blower because the AC requires a compressor to function.

It has lower-quality seat fabric when compared to top models. There is no parcel shelf around the boot, and the majority of the parts are visible. The LXi trim lacks an infotainment system and speakers as well.

In the absence of an infotainment system, steering-mounted controls are also absent. All body panels, headlights, taillights, and the new K10C engine are shared with the top-spec Alto K10. ABS, dual airbags, and rear parking sensors are also standard on the STD model.

In terms of specifications, it has a 1.0L K10 engine that produces 66 bhp and 89 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The main selling point of this engine is its fuel economy of 24.39 km/l. Alto K10 is currently the smallest vehicle available for purchase.

The STD base variant costs Rs. 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) people are drawn to showrooms because of this appealing price. The price associated with the base STD variant appears to be a little low in comparison to top-spec models. Alto K10 competes with the likes of Alto 800, Renault Kwid, S-Presso, and WagonR.
