Ahead of its official debut, which could happen anytime in the early next year, the 2022 Maruti Baleno Facelift has been leaked in the country. These photographs reveal the final design of the Baleno facelift as well as the new aesthetic direction that will be featured on future Maruti Suzuki cars.

The model seen in these leaked photographs appears to be a big upgrade to the present Baleno rather than a complete model overhaul. Almost all of the body panels of the 2022 Baleno appear to have been revised, and the car is likely broader than its predecessor when viewed from the front.

The images show that the new Baleno has a revised grille, bumper, and headlights. The hatchback receives a new tailgate as well as new L-shaped tail lights at the back. It also features black ORVMs and door handles.

However, keep in mind that the photographs appear to be of a lower-spec version, which is why there is more black plastic exposed rather than the chrome portions that will be standard on higher variations. The vehicle appears to lack fog lights, as well as a wiper or washer for the back windshield.

Spy images from a few weeks ago revealed the car's all-new interior. The dashboard of the 2022 Baleno will be totally revamped, with the AC vents now arranged horizontally in a V-shape and a free-standing infotainment screen taking centre stage.

The device appears to be significantly larger than the 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio system and might possibly be 8.0-inch or more. In terms of the instrument cluster, the new Baleno may receive a full-digital instrument cluster similar to the one seen on the i20.

The same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre DualJet mild-hybrid engines might power the 2022 model of Maruti Baleno. The engine is capable of churning out 89 BHP and 113 Nm of torque and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are rumours of a full-hybrid version of the hatchback, but we don't anticipate it to be released with this upgrade.
