Maruti Suzuki Invicto Top Model in High Demand

Maruti Suzuki's Invicto: Top-Spec Variant in High Demand

Maruti Suzuki's latest flagship, the Invicto, is creating quite a buzz in the market. Interestingly, it's the top-spec variant of the Invicto that's witnessing the highest demand, perfectly aligning with the automaker's intended strategy for this vehicle. The Alpha Plus model stands as the most sought-after version, and it's exclusively available in the seven-seat configuration. This variant is currently priced at Rs. 28.42 lakh.

Supply and Demand Dynamics

Maruti Suzuki has revealed that it receives a monthly supply of 500-700 units of the premium MPV from Toyota. This partnership between Maruti and Toyota has been productive, resulting in a noteworthy number of Invictos on the road. Despite this supply, Maruti is facing a considerable backlog with approximately 5,000 pending orders, and customers can expect an 8-10 month waiting period to get their hands on the coveted Invicto.

In contrast, Toyota has had to temporarily halt bookings for the top-spec ZX and ZX (O) variants of its own Innova Hycross. With a staggering 15-month waiting period, Toyota is struggling to keep up with the demand for these variants.

Invicto's Journey: A Rebadged Gem

Maruti Suzuki's Invicto officially made its debut in the market in July 2023. It's worth noting that the Invicto is essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, specifically the top-tier ZX variant. The car comes exclusively with a 2.0-liter hybrid petrol engine mated to an eCVT transmission, delivering power to the front wheels.

With the Invicto's remarkable demand, Maruti Suzuki has reaffirmed its place as a major player in the Indian automotive market. This successful partnership with Toyota has certainly added to the excitement, offering customers a compelling choice in the premium MPV segment.
