Finally, Mahindra & Mahindra have launched their Scorpio with new mild hybrid technology ‘Intelli-Hybrid’. The price for the top-end S10-2WD model has been set at Rs. 12.84 lakh (Ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai, BS4). The Intelli-Hybrid technology will provide electrical power to the engine during acceleration, automatic switching off the engine when the vehicle is stationary and will enable re-usage of battery energy to charge the battery. All this will lead to reduction in fuel consumption by around 7%.
Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra expressed his views on the launch of Scorpio with Intelli-Hybrids, “As an organisation that places keen emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly practices, across every process and product, we are proud to introduce mildhybrid technology on the Scorpio. By reducing fuel consumption, Intelli-Hybrid helps Scorpio owners contribute towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow.”
Along with this the car is equipped with voice Messaging System, micro hybrid technology, 6-speed Automatic Transmission, and a CRDe engine. Intelli-Hybrid will be available on S4, S4+, S4+ 4WD, S6+, S8, S10-2WD (MT) and S10-4WD (MT) with the 2.2 Litre mHAWK engine.
