Mahindra has launched the sub 4 meter Bolero Power+ in India at a starting price of INR 6.86 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is being offered in 3 variants and uses a 1.5 L, 3-cylinder mHawk D70 engine producing 70 BHP @ 3600 rpm and 195 Nm @ 1400-2200 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims a mileage of 16.5 kmpl by the company. The use of smaller engine and compact dimensions benefits the Bolero from certain taxes, thereby passing the benefits to the customers.
The car has the same seating arrangement as before while the changes are said to be made within the front and rear bumpers only. The car measures 3995 mm in length, 1745 mm in width and 1880 mm in height. The wheelbase remains the same at 2680 mm. The car comes with a new front grill while no other change on the exterior is seen as such.
The feature list now expands with the changing time as Mahindra now offers engine start stop technology, rear washer and wiper, key-less entry, power windows and many more. It is being offered with a 3-year / 1,00,000 kilometer warranty. The changes on the new Bolero may bring more numbers to the company with people already loving the car for its rough and tough nature.
