2017 SsangYong Rexton was recently unveiled after a long wait in the international market. It carries nearly the same design language as the LIV-2 concept model. The noticeable changes include a revised bumper, black cladding and different set of headlights for the Rexton. The brand's logo is even slightly different on the 2017 version, hinting at a change in the company logo in the upcoming products. It is expected to arrive in India and rebadged as Mahindra XUV700.

2017 SsangYong Rexton (Mahindra XUV700) Unveiled

The interior of the 2017 Rexton is luxury wrapped and uses dual tone Black/Brown finish for the premium interior feel. The dashboard uses diamond finished leather strip across its width while the wood finish on the passenger side looks really impressive on the newcomer. The same diamond stitching moves to the door panels while seats are finished without this treatment. The bold body line of the car helps it compete with the likes of Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. 0_468_700_http---cdni.autocarindia.com-ExtraImages-20170327112508_C74o0eOVUAA94oA The company sources have even revealed that the car will undercut the prices of rival SUVs by INR 5 lakh and its rebadging as Mahindra will require a new, bold vertical slat grill that is under development. The India spec car could use the 184 HP, 2.2 liter diesel motor that produces 420 Nm of peak torque. This will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Mahindra may later introduce the 225 HP, 2.0 liter petrol engine on the XUV700. image
