The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift, now rebranded as the XUV3XO, is poised for launch on 29th April 2024, showcasing significant updates including a refreshed exterior, revamped interiors, and enhanced performance capabilities. Along with a new name this SUV gets modern design elements and technological advancements.

In the latest teaser, Mahindra highlights the XUV3XO’s improved dynamics, boasting a quick 0-60 kmph acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds coupled with an impressive fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmpl. These improvements highlight how far the SUV has come in terms of efficiency and speed.

Exterior Enhancements

There are several improvements on the outside of the XUV3XO that give it a more modern and aggressive appearance. Updates to the headlamp clusters with LED daytime running lights, the front grille with chrome accents, and the front bumpers are all part of its sleek new look. Additional features include a shark fin antenna, an integrated roof spoiler, and distinct C-shaped LED tail lamps connected by an LED light bar, with the number plate now repositioned to the bumper.

Inside, the XUV3XO mirrors the luxury and tech-forward approach of the larger XUV400. It introduces dual 10.25-inch infotainment screens, perforated leatherette upholstery, and a redesigned dashboard. The integration of wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system enhances multimedia connectivity and sound quality. The inclusion of a panoramic sky-roof, now a dual-pane unit, elevates the cabin’s ambiance offering expansive skyward views.

Advanced Safety Technologies

Safety is a paramount focus in the XUV3XO, aiming for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. Numerous safety measures are included in it, such as electronic stability control, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera system, and parking sensors. A standout addition is the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) providing ten safety functions that enhance driver confidence and security on the road.

Connectivity and Convenience

With the addition of Adrenox Connect technology which emphasizes modern connectivity and convenience, it is now possible to remotely control the vehicle's interior temperature in addition to other features.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the XUV3XO will offer a choice of engines:

  • A 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine delivers 110 hp and 200 Nm of torque.
  • A more powerful 1.2-liter T-GDI turbo petrol engine produces 130 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
  • A 1.5-liter diesel engine with an output of 117 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

These engines will be paired with either manual or automatic transmissions, catering to a variety of driving preferences.

Pricing and Market Position

While the official pricing details are yet to be announced, it is anticipated that the XUV3XO will be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it competitively within the subcompact SUV segment.

Mahindra has taken a big stride forward with this debut of the XUV3XO which not only builds on the history of its predecessors but also adds several innovations that redefine the norms for its class.
