KTM 250 Adventure Starts Reaching Dealerships (Live Photos): KTM recently launched the much-awaited 250 Adventure in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.48 lakhs. The adventure motorcycle has started reaching dealerships across the country while the deliveries are expected to commence in the coming days. Thanks to Nijom Kumar (@niku17) for sharing the live photos of KTM 250 Adventure with us. The newly-launched KTM has no direct rivals in India, though it competes with the rest of the adventure motorcycles priced under INR 3 lakhs (ex-showroom), which includes the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW G310GS. Sharing the same underpinnings as that of its elder sibling, KTM 390 Adventure, the 250cc adventure motorcycle has been further differentiated by offering a halogen headlamp while the KTM 390 Adventure is equipped with an all-LED headlight. The halogen light on the 250 Adventure has been further mated to LED DRLs. Another major change is that unlike the 390 Adventure's coloured TFT console, the 250 Adventure has been equipped with a mono-colour LCD instrument console. Apart from this, the motorcycle features similar belly pan, tank extensions and other designing traits as that of its 390cc sibling. Powering the KTM 250 Adventure is a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 30HP and a peak torque of 24Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle features 43mm USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The braking power is offered by 320mm disc brake at the front with a four-piston radial calliper while the rear has been equipped with a 230mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper. The motorcycle further features the MRF Mogrip Meteor-FM2 dual-purpose tyres. KTM 250 Adventure also features switchable 2-channel ABS with off-road mode but it doesn't feature traction control, a quickshifter, cornering ABS, and Bluetooth connectivity, like the 390 Adventure. Which bike to choose, XPulse 200, Dominar 250 or Scrambler?
2023-01-17 02:39:49 AM

The Hero XPulse 200 is a great motorcycle for both commuting and off-roading with its 4-valve updates, improved drive, and new suspension tune. The Yezdi Scrambler is a great option for those looking for a sporty ride with its lean angles and sporty handling. Lastly, the Dominar 250 is an affordable option, and it is fit to its purpose. The 250cc motor may not be the most exciting, but it works well with the Dominar's comfortable touring ergonomics. Whether you are looking for performance or comfort, we recommend taking a test ride to get a better understanding of the bike.

My main travelling is daily city commutes and some weekend tours. I am confused between KTM 250 Adventure and KTM Duke 250. Which is better?

When it comes to selecting the right bike, it is important to consider your budget, preferred segment, features required, and engine options. The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a 248.76 cc engine that provides a powerful 30 PS @ 9000 rpm and a torque of 24 Nm @ 7500 rpm. This engine makes the 250 Adventure one of the smoothest KTM single-cylinder engines on sale. The 19-/17-inch wheel setup provides superior confidence when going over rough roads.

On the other hand, the KTM 250 Duke is perfect for those who are looking for something quick and convenient for everyday use. This bike has a much more relaxed motor and comfy suspension compared to other KTMs. It is powered by a 248.8 cc engine that generates a power of 30 PS @ 9000 rpm and a torque of 24 Nm @ 7500 rpm. We highly recommend you to take a test drive before making the final decision.

What is the difference between speed of Duke 200 and 250?
2023-01-15 03:39:18 AM

The 200 Duke has a 199cc motor that produces 25PS at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm at 8000rpm. It is BS6-compliant and uses a six-speed transmission. On the other hand, the KTM 250 Duke is powered by a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 30PS at 9000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7500rpm.

The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with assist and a slipper clutch. The assist function reduces the clutch lever effort while the slipper clutch prevents the rear wheel from locking up during hard downshifts. In terms of performance, the 250 Duke is superior to the 200 Duke.

Which one is the best KTM Duke 250 or Dominar?

The KTM 250 Duke is a great option for those looking for performance and convenience. It has a 248.8 cc engine that generates 30 PS @ 9000 rpm and a torque of 24 Nm @ 7500 rpm. The price tag of Rs. 2,28,851 is a great deal for what you get.

On the other hand, the Bajaj Dominar 250 is a great sports tourer and is fit to purpose. It has a 250cc motor that works beautifully with the comfortable touring ergonomics. The price tag of Rs. 1,66,355 makes it a great entry-level option. Ultimately, the choice depends on your budget and preference. We would suggest you to take a test ride of both the bikes before making a final decision.

What is the maximum load capacity allowed on the FZ 25, HONDA CBR 250 and KTM 390/250? Considering taking a long ride. Should I get the Interceptor 650, BMW 310 R or one of the above?
2023-01-15 01:28:36 AM

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is one of the best choices for comfort and performance. It's cruiser style seating posture gives you a comfortable ride, even on long rides. The other bikes you have mentioned don't have the same level of comfort, so if you're looking for a bike that will give you a comfortable ride for long distances, the Interceptor 650 is the way to go.
