In an insightful and exclusive interview Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the founder and CEO of Kinetic Green provided insightful information about the company's future goals, position on the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) subsidy, and strategies for dealing with impending competition in the electric vehicle scene.

E-Luna Fleets and Expansion

Kinetic Green recently partnered with BigBasket, handing over 130 E-Luna electric two-wheelers to Safe and Secure Delivery Solutions, BigBasket's official delivery partner. With this partnership Kinetic Green will speed up its efforts to form comparable partnerships with other e-commerce companies. Kinetic Green is creating a fleet management system called E-Luna Fleets which will allow for effective fleet management. Impact of EMPS Subsidy on Sales

The end of the FAME 2 subsidy and the introduction of the EMPS subsidy have brought changes in the EV industry. While the reduction in subsidy may impact short-term B2C sales, Motwani remains optimistic about the long-term prospects, anticipating further price reductions due to decreasing metal prices and the localization of cell manufacturing in India.

Rivals and Competition

With traditional petrol-powered bike manufacturers entering the EV market, competition is intensifying. As a hint of its exploration into the market, TVS, for example, has trademarked names for possible electric vehicle models. Kinetic Green however, continues to stand firm in the face of competition thanks to its strong brand, first-mover advantage, and committed dealer network that promotes EVs.

Company Focus: B2B or B2C?

While Kinetic Green's scooters and three-wheelers are primarily geared towards B2C sales, the E-Luna stands out with its unique appeal in the B2B sector. Collaborations such as the one with BigBasket highlight its applicability to business use. The company's major focus this year will be on building the E-Luna brand and maximizing its B2B potential indicating a strategic shift towards catering to commercial fleet requirements in the electric vehicle market.

Through partnerships and cutting-edge technologies like the E-Luna, Kinetic Green has shown its dedication to bringing about change in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. With a focus on growing its fleet solutions and navigating the changing environment of subsidies, Kinetic Green is well-positioned to continue to be a major force in the electric car industry.
