Jeep Wrangler Petrol has been officially launched in India for INR 56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The report for the launch of petrol powered Wrangler made headlines last year. It took few months for Jeep India to figure out the need of bringing a relatively inexpensive version of the famous off-road machine. The petrol version is available in 5 door Unlimited version only. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited The petrol motor used on the Wrangler is 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 motor producing 285 HP of maximum power and 353 Nm of torque. The same five speed automatic gearbox from the diesel model is being shared on the petrol Wrangler. The new price is quite effective and places the same in the mid size luxury SUV's segment. Jeep Wrangler Petrol Launched @ INR 56 lakh

Jeep will soon launch a petrol powered Grand Cherokee with the same engine as Wrangler petrol. It will come mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox and claim 10 extra HP than the Jeep Wrangler. The SUV retains its 238.2 mm of ground clearance and comes with 85 liters of fuel tank capacity on the petrol model also. It retains the disc brakes at all the ends.
