Earlier reports in June said that Jeep 551 would be unveiled at FCA’s new Pernambuco assembly plant in Brazil by the end of September. Another report by Roberto Nasser has come up on Brazilian site Automotive Business, according to which the Jeep 551 will make a debut by the end of this month. The next-gen Jeep Compass (C-SUV/Jeep 551) would make it to the market in October 2016 with its schedule launch in Brazil. It will make its debut in Sao Paulo Auto Show in November this year.   Jeep C-SUV Previously, the Jeep 551 was considered as the second generation model of either the Jeep Patriot or the Jeep Compass. Since the Compass is more modern out of the two so, 551 would turn out to be more like the second-gen Jeep Compass. Even as per the latest Brazilian reports, the Jeep 551 is in actuality the second generation Jeep Compass. India-Bound Jeep C-SUV to be Unveiled this Month

The all-new Jeep Compass (C-SUV) will be launched in 2.0-litre flex-fuel engine that can produce 160 HP and 196 NM of torque and it is also expected to comes with an option of a 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine for the Brazilian market. The redesigned Jeep Compass would be manufactured in Brazil, Mexico, China and India (beginning of 2017).
