Is this the production ready Yamaha R15 Version 3.0?
The other possibility states it as a special edition, which again feels fishy as Yamaha always launch new decals and shades on the name of such editions and won’t rise the cost of a product that is about to end its life cycle. Yamaha India has announced that the next generation of R15 would be much more effective than the present generation. If other reports are to be believed, it will be powered by a 155cc engine that would be more powerful and use more technologies for effective riding.
If this is the Yamaha R15 version 3.0, it will soon launch officially in Indonesia, thereby allowing Yamaha India to make the necessary changes in their production line for the new motorcycle. The rear end is still a mystery, leaving fans in a state of confusion that will Yamaha follow the version 1.0’s or the 2.0's rear design. An official event from Yamaha is still awaited.
