Hyundai i30 Fastback was recently revealed by the Korean manufacturer internationally. The car is actually a third body style in the i30 lineup, expected to arrive in 1st quarter of 2018 and rival none other than Audi A3 Saloon in selective markets.
i30 Fastback is placed right in the middle of Hyundai Verna and Elantra in the international lineup. Apart from this one, Hyundai i30 N Sport hatchback was even revealed by the manufacturer. Hyundai i30 Fastback has a number of visual changes from other two versions.
It carries a couple like rear end, sleek roofline and lower overall profile. The addition of tail like rear end added 115 mm to its length while added weight took 5 mm away from the ground clearance of i30 Fastback.
The suspension is 15 percent stiffer than the regular version while two turbocharged petrol engines are offered for minimum emissions and maximum performance. The 1.0 liter, 3-cylinder engine is good for 120 HP while 1.4 liter, 4-cylinder engine produces a max of 140 HP.
The smaller engine comes with 6-speed manual gearbox while the bigger motor use 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The diesel motor on offer is 1.6 liter, 4-cylinder unit producing 110 HP and 136 HP in two different states of tune.
Hyundai i30 Fastback carries loads of technology with features like advanced cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, 8 inch touchscreen SatNav and smartphone connectivity. Hyundai may display the Fastback version at 2018 Auto Expo but launch plans will still remain questionable for this product.
