The presence of Hyundai i20 at 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show marks the entry of a premium Indian hatchback into the Indonesian market. The car will be imported as a CBU while some changes have been made by the company in order to provide a sporty look to the already shining i20.
The show car came with updates like Gloss Black paint finish, Black 5-spoke alloy wheels, body kit with red inserts and a rear spoiler. The interior offers all Black dashboard and seats along with a touchscreen infotainment system.
The i20 uses a 1.4 L Kappa petrol motor producing 100 PS and 133 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the option of a 4-speed automatic is also available. Price for the car starts at IDR 249 Million (INR 12.68 lakh) for the manual version and IDR 263 million (INR 13.40 lakh) for the one with automatic transmision.
