Hyundai Venue Introduces New Executive Variant Priced at Rs 10 Lakh

Hyundai has recently introduced a new variant to its popular Venue SUV lineup, known as the Executive variant. This addition is strategically positioned between the mid-spec S and S(O) variants, offering a blend of features at a more affordable price point. The Executive variant is priced at Rs 10 lakh, making the turbo-petrol powertrain option more accessible to a wider range of buyers. Here's a detailed look at what the Venue Executive variant has to offer:

Exterior Design

The Venue Executive closely resembles the S(O) variant in terms of exterior design. The vehicle is distinguished from other models by its unique 'Executive' representation on the tailgate, 16-inch wheels with fashionable wheel covers, and roof rails for increased usefulness. However, unlike the S(O) variant, the Executive does not feature connected LED taillights. Instead, it comes equipped with auto-halogen headlights, while the S(O) variant boasts LED projector units with LED DRLs and cornering lamps, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall look.

Interior Comfort and Convenience

Inside, the Venue Executive is designed to provide comfort and convenience to all passengers. It includes adjustable headrests for all occupants, 60:40 split-folding rear seats for flexible cargo space, a front center armrest with storage, and a 2-step reclining function for the rear seats, enhancing the overall passenger experience. However, it's worth noting that the Executive variant does not come with a height-adjustable driver's seat, a feature available in the S(O) variant. Additionally, it lacks a rear parking camera which is a handy feature for maneuvering in tight spaces.

With its 8-inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone connectivity it offers simple access to music, apps, and navigation. Manual AC with rear vents ensures a comfortable cabin temperature for all passengers, while the rear wiper with a washer enhances visibility during rainy conditions.

The Venue Executive doesn't skimp on safety features and it comes with six airbags providing ample protection for all occupants in case of a collision. The tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) helps maintain optimal tyre pressure for safe driving, while electronic stability control (ESC) enhances vehicle stability under various driving conditions. Additionally, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers ensure that everyone is securely strapped in during the journey.

Additional Features in the S(O) Variant

Hyundai has introduced new features in the S(O) turbo variants, including a sunroof and cabin lamps for the front passengers. These additions enhance the overall ambiance and convenience of the S(O) variant making it more appealing to buyers looking for extra amenities. As a result, the price of the S(O) MT has been adjusted to Rs 10.75 lakh, while the S(O) DCT now costs Rs 11.86 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Venue Turbo-petrol Details

The Venue Executive variant is exclusively offered with the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, capable of producing 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox providing a dynamic driving experience. In contrast, the S(O) variant also offers the option of a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission) for those who prefer an automatic transmission. The Hyundai subcompact SUV also comes with other engine options, including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (N/A) petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel unit, catering to different preferences and requirements.

Price Range and Rivals

The Hyundai Venue is priced competitively, with variants ranging from Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh. It faces stiff competition in the subcompact SUV segment going up against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and the Maruti Fronx crossover. Each of these competitors offers a unique set of features and capabilities making the segment highly competitive and diverse.
