Hyundai Creta Facelift Expected on January 16, 2024

Hyundai Creta facelift is likely to launch on 16th January. The South Korean carmaker has sent out a Block Your Date invitation for an ‘upcoming event’, which is most likely to be the unveiling event for the new Creta. It is yet to be known if the event is about unveiling the new Creta or the actual launch of the car with price announcement. We have been spotting multiple prototypes of the updated car of late in India and in some international markets.

Unlike the facelift that was launched recently in some countries with Tucson inspired parametric grille, the new India-specific facelift will be completely different. It will follow the brand’s new design direction which we have recently seen with the new Hyundai Santa Fe and the Exter with squarish design elements. The same treatment will be given to the Creta facelift offering H-sharped DRLs up front with newly designed grille along with updated bumpers, alloy wheels and rear profile. The interior will get mild tweaks to make it look fresh and will be offered with new features to keep up with the competition, specially the newly launched Kia Seltos.

It will be getting ADAS tech along with new features like 360 degree camera, dashcam, high resolution instrument cluster, etc. Even the upholstery is likely to get a new colour scheme along with new materials. Hyundai will be offering three engine options with the new Creta. It will be updated to the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine along with the existing 1.5-litre NA petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. All three engines will be offered with both automatic and manual transmission options.

With the new Hyundai Creta facelift launch, there will be some heat in the competition. It will put a big impact on its rivals that include the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Tata Harrier and the likes.

Hyundai, a prominent player in the Indian automotive landscape, is gearing up for a significant milestone with the launch of the 2024 Creta facelift. Set to be unveiled on January 16, 2024, this marks the first redesign for the second-generation Creta, which made its debut in the Indian market in mid-2020. Anticipation is high as the India-specific version promises distinct styling cues, differentiating it from its global counterparts.

2024 Creta Exterior Changes

The exterior transformations of the 2024 Creta are poised to redefine its visual identity. Spy shots and early sightings hint at redesigned LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and headlights, contributing to a more pronounced and boxy appearance.

While the overall sheet metal is anticipated to retain its familiar profile, the introduction of new alloy wheels is expected to inject a sense of freshness and modernity. At the rear, a set of split-LED tail lamps featuring dynamic turn indicators completes the exterior overhaul, presenting a harmonious blend of style and functionality.

2024 Creta Interior Changes

While the interior of the 2024 Creta remains partially concealed, exciting updates are in store for enthusiasts.

2024 Creta Engine Options

Hyundai's strategy for the 2024 Creta involves not only aesthetic upgrades but also the introduction of a more potent powertrain. The discontinuation of the 1.4-litre unit makes way for the inclusion of the 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, a powerplant already making waves in the Verna. This engine, known for its performance capabilities, is expected to be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).

While the turbo-petrol engine takes center stage, Hyundai aims to maintain continuity with the existing 1.5-litre diesel and naturally aspirated petrol engines. As Hyundai positions itself to redefine the Creta's appeal, the January 16, 2024 launch date becomes a significant moment for enthusiasts and potential buyers.

The eagerly awaited unveiling on January 16, 2024, is expected to reveal the full spectrum of enhancements, offering enthusiasts a closer look at the evolution of the Hyundai Creta.

Given the substantial updates anticipated, it's expected that the new Creta might come with a significant price increase compared to the current model, which is priced at Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). It should continue to lock horns with Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
