The new special edition, like the existing model, is available with both front drum and disc brakes. Honda Shine is the country's third best-selling two-wheeler, selling over one lakh units per month. Honda sold a whopping 1,25,947 Shine and SP125 units in June 2022, representing a 75 per cent year-on-year increase.

A 123.94cc engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox produces 10.59 HP at 7500 RPM and 11 Nm at 6000 RPM. The bore and stroke measurements are 50 mm and 63.1 mm, respectively, which is typical of long stroke configurations such as the recently launched Bajaj CT125X.

“Renowned famously as one of the most appealing executive motorcycles, brand Shine continues to delight millions of Indians in their journey on two-wheels. I am confident that the all-new celebration edition avatar will light up the festival vibes and bring new delight to our customers,” said HMSI's Managing Director, President, and CEO, Atsushi Ogata.

Honda Livo is a better option than Honda CB Shine due to the price difference between both the bikes. Honda CB Shine when bought fully loaded costs above IR 65,000 whereas the fully loaded Livo will cost INR 58,000 approximately. The bike comes with an impressive design, which is really missing in the normal looking Honda CB Shine. The 109.19 cc engine of the Livo is a responsive motor with 8.25 BHP and 8.63 NM of torque. No doubt the CB Shine produces more power but it does not provide the value for money spent over it. Livo and Shine are both good city riders and none of them is a highway hunter by their engine sizes. So going for the Livo with a disc brake is a better option when compared to Honda CB Shine.
