Himalayan 450 and Speed 400 Say Goodbye to Introductory Offers - New Rates for January 2024

As the sub-500cc motorcycle segment experiences heightened competition, manufacturers are strategically adjusting pricing to offer affordability to riders. This trend is evident with Royal Enfield's Himalayan 450 and Triumph's Speed 400, both witnessing price adjustments effective January 1, 2024. While Royal Enfield maintains its stronghold in the sub-500cc segment, formidable rivals such as Triumph and Harley-Davidson, along with the imminent entry of Hero MotoCorp, are injecting fresh energy into this dynamic space.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: A Closer Look at New Prices

In a bid to cater to the evolving needs of riders, Royal Enfield introduced the Himalayan 450 in November at the 2023 Motoverse event in Goa. The introductory prices, initially valid until December 2023, have undergone revisions as we step into the new year. Notably, the base variant, Kaza Brown, sees the most substantial increase, now priced at Rs 2.85 lakh – an increment of Rs 16,000.

The Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue variants are dearer by Rs 15,000, priced at Rs 2.89 lakh. The Kamet White and Hanle Black models witness a price rise of Rs 14,000, now available at Rs 2.93 lakh and Rs 2.98 lakh, respectively. While the Himalayan 450 is positioned slightly above the KTM 390 Adventure X post-revision, it still maintains a competitive edge.

Triumph Speed 400: Transitioning from Introductory Offers

Triumph Speed 400, introduced with an attractive price tag of Rs 2.23 lakh, successfully lured riders seeking value for money. The introductory offer prices, initially applicable for the first 10,000 customers, were later extended until December 31. With the advent of the new year, Triumph bids farewell to the initial offer prices.

The revised pricing now positions the Speed 400 at Rs 2.33 lakh, marking a reasonable increase of Rs 10,000. Despite the adjustment the Speed 400 continues to stand out as a top contender in the sub-500cc segment offering an impressive blend of performance and value.

As these motorcycles undergo price revisions the sub-500cc segment witnesses dynamic shifts further intensifying competition. The strategic pricing strategies employed by manufacturers reflect a commitment to meeting consumer demands and expectations. Enthusiasts can anticipate a thrilling year ahead with more offerings, innovations, and spirited rides.
