Hero's fourth in-house designed product, the Achiever 150 with i3S has been launched in India at Rs 61,800 for the drum brake variant and Rs 62,800 for the disc brake variant. The prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Hero MotoCorp defines it as the perfect upgrade for those who are willing to ride above 125cc motorcycles by the company. The new Achiever comes with a new design, carrying a relatively sharp headlight cluster and a muscular fuel tank. The under-seat section feels a bit bulky as large fiber panels have been used around that area.
The tail section again seems sharp enough for its segment. The design seems pure with the least amount of stickers from Hero MotoCorp on the motorcycle. The engine powering the Achiever is a 149.2cc, air cooled motor producing 13.4 BHP @ 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm @ 5000 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the engine complies with the upcoming BS4 norms. The best part is its i3S automatic start stop system, making 150cc segment more fuel efficient than ever.
