EICMA 2018: Hero XPulse 200T Officially Revealed

Hero xPulse 200T is the production version for the xPulse Concept seen last year at EICMA. This year, the motorcycle is seen with production ready skin, carrying matte finished fuel tank and gloss front under seat panel. Hero xPulse is seen with comfortable long seat that extends slightly forward for comfort packed long distance and adventure riding. The motorcycle comes with a rear luggage carrier and small front headlight with transparent visor. Hero MotoCorp uses telescopic suspension with 190mm of travel at the front and rear monoshock with 170mm of travel. The setup brings 220mm worth clean ground clearance to the xPulse 200T. The motorcycle comes with 825mm of decent seat height, making this the highest ever seat from Hero’s own production range. The architecture for xPulse 200T is based on the Xtreme 200R, helping them keep the overall cost lower than usual adventure bikes. The front and rear wheel is available with Ceat dual purpose tires for better grip levels. Hero has surprisingly used alloy wheels on the tourer, putting tubeless tires in action for ease during any leaks on the road. The engine used here is the same 200cc motor seen under the Xtreme 200R, producing 18.4 PS and 17.1 Nm on the streetfighter. The tune here is expected to be more torque focused than the peak power. Is the Hero XPulse 200T worth buying?
2023-09-19 07:23:10 AM

The Hero XPulse 200T was never really a hot seller. The company has taken its own sweet time to provide the bike with the BS6 updates, which have arrived at a pretty steep premium. If you are looking for a city bike in the 200cc space with no intention of heading to the nearby twisties or trails over the weekend, the XPulse 200T makes sense. The XPulse 200T has got the mandatory emission updates. Hence, you find a fuel-injection system fueling the 199.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The oil cooler is a welcome addition but not as much to justify the extra price.

Which bike is smoother between Hero Xpulse200 & Xpulse 200T?
2023-09-19 07:22:41 AM

The Hero Xpulse 200 is the off-road capable version of the two. To cement its mud-plugging credentials, the XPulse 200 gets a raised beak, knuckle guards, and a small windscreen. Whereas, the XPulse 200T is a touring motorcycle and it features a wide handlebar, comfortable ribbed seat, and conventional exhaust system. Hopefully, the XPulse 200T will be more peppy and smooth now, much like how the XPulse 200 BS6 turned out. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you take a test ride.

But the 4-valve update should bump the power figures back up just like it did on the Xpulse 200 4V adventure bike. This motor works alongside a 5-speed transmission linked to a chain drive. The suspension includes a 37mm telescopic fork and a rear 7-step adjustable mono-shock. The XPulse 200T employs a 276mm front disc, a 220mm rear disc, and single-channel ABS.
