HDFC Bank Flexi EV Car Loan Separates Body and Battery Financing
HDFC Bank’s Flexi EV car loan offers different financing proportions for the vehicle body and battery, with longer repayment possible for the battery.
HDFC Bank has launched its Flexi Electric Car Loan, which offers different financing proportions for an electric car’s body and battery. The bank says the battery portion can be repaid over a longer term. That gives buyers a different way to spread monthly payments, with the actual terms depending on the written offer.
How the split financing works
The product distinguishes the vehicle body from the battery when setting financing proportions and repayment terms. The bank has announced the option of a longer battery repayment period. Its launch release does not specify a uniform rate, term or fee for either portion. The arrangement is a car loan structure. A battery subscription has separate ownership and contract terms.

What to compare before choosing an EV loan
A longer term can lower the monthly payment for a given principal and interest rate, while increasing the total interest over the life of the loan. When comparing electric cars and financing quotes, request the principal, down payment, rate, fees, repayment schedule and total amount payable for each portion. Check whether prepayment or foreclosure terms differ.
Compare the split structure with a single-loan quote for the same vehicle and down payment. The monthly outflow matters for budgeting. The total cost and how long each obligation lasts matter when deciding which quote suits the purchase.
