Ford, the Blue Oval, recently unveiled the new Ranger pickup truck and is now ready to release an SUV based on the Ranger that will be launched in India under the name Endeavour and as Everest in other countries. A few changes, including cosmetic changes, can be seen in the upcoming model. The teaser was released just a few days after the spy shots of the car leaked online.

The front end has a few changes, such as the massive square grille with Ford branding in the centre, along with boxy c-shaped LED headlamps. All in all, the front profile is boxier than before. The height of the bonnet is raised, and it is bulkier now, and the coloured bash plate gives it a bold look. The SUV retains its old-school boxy look and the side profile majorly highlights multi-spoke alloy wheels, upright and c-shaped pillars with a chrome touch.

Talking about the rear end, it has LED taillights that can be connected with an LED strip in between. Aside from the cabin, this camouflaged beauty is expected to include high-end features such as a 12-inch portrait screen with Sync4 - the most recent smartphone connectivity system. Other features include dual-zone climate control, a digital instrument console, connected car tech features, and a large panoramic sunroof.

Ford is also expected to offer some advanced safety features such as ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), a 360-degree camera and rear/front parking sensors. The car is expected to be powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder twin-turbo EcoBlue diesel engine generating 210 HP of power and a max torque of 500 Nm. Apart from that, the SUV is also expected to get a 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine option, that churns out 254 HP of power and 600 Nm of top torque. Both the engines are to be coupled with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

If launched in India, the SUV is expected to come with a 2.0L single-turbo diesel engine that will generate 168HP and a max torque of 420 Nm, also mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The American brand has released the teaser globally, but its launch in India is not confirmed yet. As the company has already taken down all of its manufacturing plants, it will be brought to the country via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, and in terms of pricing, it is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 60 lakhs.
