2017 Force Gurkha has been officially launched in India at INR 8.38 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The strict off-road machine now comes with BS4 compliant engine, claiming it eligible for sale in even the metro cities of India. Gurkha is offered in two variants, Xplorer (three door, five door) and Xpedition (five door). The three door variant can be had in hard and soft top option while the other one is simply available in the hard top version.
Gurkha's engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, further adding off-road essence with low range four wheel drive system and differential locks at both the axles. It competes with none other than Mahindra Thar and comes out as an equally capable option when it comes to strict all road performance. Gurkha Xpedition can be bought for INR 8,38,152 while Xplorer costs INR 9,35,625. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

2017 Force Motors Gurkha Launched @ INR 8.38 lakh
Gurkha Xplorer can be had in five, six and eight (including driver) seat option whereas Xpedition makes it easier to carry seven and nine passengers at one time. Force Motors have slightly updated the facial and mechanical specs of Gurkha. The front steel bumper is all new while the interior features a new steering wheel, manual air conditioning system and refreshed gear lever. It even carries fog lights inside its new bumper. The new frame that underpins the Gurkha is C-in-C ladder type with independent struts suspension with gas charged shocks at the front and multi-link setup with gas charged hydraulic shocks at the rear. Both the ends are equipped with anti roll bar for added protection. The engine powering this Gurkha is 2.6 liter, CRDe unit that is good for 85 HP at 3200 rpm and 230 Nm at 1400-2400 rpm.
