Ferrari 488 GTB sports car was launched in an event at Mumbai today. This outstanding piece of craftsmanship from Ferrari comes with a price tag of Rs 3.88 crores (ex-showroom). It also boasts of being faster than its predecessor, the 458 Italia.
The 488 GTB is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine which churns out a power of 661 bhp and a peak torque of 760 Nm. The power and torque travel to the real wheels with the aid of 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The car can shoot to a speed of 100 km/h in just 3 seconds from a standstill. In 8.3 seconds, you'll zooming around 200 km/h. The top speed of the new Ferrari is over 330 km/h.
The sports car has very sharp, aggressively styled headlamps which intensify it's mean looking front. Dual air intake channels on the front of the car carry air to the radiators. At the rear end, the car carries an integrated tail-lamp and rear vents to let out excess hot air from the engine. The 488 GTB will be available in Ferrari's showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai. The car will take on the likes of Audi R8 V10 Plus and Lamborghini Huracan.
