Ducati India has unveiled a new addition to its flagship Adventure Touring (ADV) range—the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour and the model has made its appearance on Ducati India's official website signaling an imminent launch. Geared towards touring and long-distance riding, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is set to carve its niche in the adventure biking segment.
Design and Features
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour boasts a design reminiscent of its lineup counterparts. Notable features include a split LED headlight with an integrated radar system, an adjustable transparent visor, and standard fitments such as lever guards and touring accessories and the latter includes panniers and a tail rack emphasizing its touring-oriented focus.
Performance and Powertrain
Under the hood, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is powered by a robust 1,158cc V4 liquid-cooled engine, delivering an impressive 170bhp and 125Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with the convenience of a bi-directional quick shifter. Nestled in an Aluminium monocoque frame, the bike features electronically adjustable 50mm USD front forks and a rear shock for enhanced ride control.
Braking and Wheels
Ensuring responsive braking, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is equipped with dual 330mm front and a single 265mm rear disc brakes with ABS. The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, wrapped in 120/70 front and 170/60 rear tires, respectively.
Advanced Rider Aids
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour offers a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids, including various riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, cornering lights, heated grips, cruise control, smartphone connectivity, navigation, and a tire pressure monitoring system. All these features are conveniently monitored through a 6.5-inch TFT screen.
Launch and Competition
Ducati India has slated the official launch of the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour for early 2024. In the adventure biking segment, it will compete with models like the BMW R 1250 GS, BMW S 1000 XR, Honda Africa Twin, and other prominent names.
