Ducati has officially launched its 2024 Streetfighter V4 lineup in India, with the range starting at Rs 24.62 lakh for the standard variant and extending up to Rs 28 lakh for the more premium S variant. This introduction marks a significant update for Ducati's acclaimed naked motorcycle series.
Enhancements in Rideability
The primary focus of the 2024 updates is to enhance the Streetfighter V4's rideability. This has been achieved through a series of thoughtful modifications especially in the bike's electronic aids and design adjustments. One of the notable additions is the 'Wet' riding mode which not only limits power to 165 hp but also ensures a smoother power delivery making it ideal for slippery conditions.
Power Modes and Fuel Efficiency
Ducati introduces two new power modes—Full and Low—that accompany the existing High and Medium modes. This broadens the customization options for riders allowing for more precise tailoring of the bike's performance. Additionally, the fuel tank capacity has been increased by 1 litre to 17 litres, addressing the Desmosedici Stradale engine's fuel efficiency, which has been a concern for some riders.
Design and Cooling System Updates
The 2024 Streetfighter V4 also sees changes in its TFT dash layout in Track mode, now mirroring that of the Panigale V4 superbike for a more race-oriented display. A mechanical update includes a 4mm higher swingarm pivot, enhancing the bike's cornering dynamics by shifting the weight forward. Notably, the updates extend to the bike's cooling system with the rear cylinder deactivation technology and radiator fans that activate at lower temperatures to mitigate heat thrown onto the rider a welcome change for the Indian riding conditions.
