All-New Tata Safari Revealed in India: The much-awaited 2021 model of Safari SUV has been officially revealed in India through an online unveiling event. Tata Motor has announced that the bookings for the new Safari will commence on February 4, 2021. As per the details available, the SUV will be available in three colour options: Daytona Grey, Orcus White, and Royale Blue. The 2021 Safari will be offered with two seating configurations - 6-seater with captain seats for the middle row occupants and 7-seater with bench-type 2nd row of seats. The SUV will be offered in 6 variants namely XE, XM, XT, XT Plus, XZ, and XZ Plus. In terms of pricing, the 2021 model of Safari is expected to get an ex-showroom price range of around INR 15 lakhs to INR 22 lakhs. Once launched, the all-new Tata Safari would be competing with the likes of MG Hector Plus, the upcoming 7-seater Hyundai Creta and the next-gen 2021 model of the Mahindra XUV500. The changes include a larger rear quarter glass, a new C-pillar rear quarter design, and also a flatter boot lid. It also gets a slightly different front grille with a tri-arrow pattern, while the side profile along with the headlamps and front bumper is the same as Tata Harrier. In terms of safety, the SUV's top model would come equipped with six airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Roll Over Mitigation (ROM), disc brakes on all four wheels with ABS, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Mechanically, the new model of Safari is equipped with the Harrier's 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. For now, Tata Motor won't be offering the new Safari with a 4x4 drivetrain option.
