2021 Tata Safari SUV Exterior and Interior Live Photos: Ahead of the official launch on January 26, the live photos of 2021 Tata Safari have surfaced online. The new model of Safari is basically the production version of the 7-seater Harrier, which was earlier codenamed as Gravitas.
As per the details available, the unofficial pre-bookings for the 2021 model of Tata Safari are already open with a token amount of INR 50,000. In terms of design, the Harrier and new Safari share a lot of exterior and interior design elements. Here are the live photos of the 2021 Tata Safari SUV:
The next-gen Tata Safari is 63mm longer and 80mm taller than the Harrier 5-seater model to make extra room for the third row. The SUV also features a stepped-up roof for an airier third row. As we reported earlier, the 2021 Safari will be available in a 6-seater and a 7-seater option.
The new Safari has been upgraded to set it apart from the Harrier. The changes include a larger rear quarter glass, a new C-pillar rear quarter design, and also a flatter boot lid. It also gets a slightly different front grille with a tri-arrow pattern, while the side profile along with the headlamps and front bumper is the same as Tata Harrier.
Some of the other key features include a dual-tone white-black interior theme, front parking sensors, electronic parking brake, JBL audio system, 8.8″ infotainment touch screen system, six airbags, and a panoramic sunroof. The next-gen Tata Safari is expected to be priced a lakh over the price of Harrier, which is currently available with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 13.84 lakhs.
Mechanically, the 2021 Tata Safari will come equipped with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine churning out 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
