In addition to the launch of Tata Nexon facelift as well as the Altroz, the brand has also launched the 2020 Tata Tiago and Tigor in the Indian market. The BS6-compliant Tigor is now available at a starting price tag of INR 5.75 lakh while the BS6 updated Tiago is now available at INR 4.60 lakh for the base variant. The former has been offered a premium of INR 10,000 while the latter has been awarded an increase in the price tag by INR 20,000 when compared to their BS4 versions. Coming to the front fascia, both the hatchback and sedan feature a revised front bumper with slimmer headlamp design mated to the front grille underlined by the brand’s signature humanity chrome lining. The air intake filter has also been redesigned with strong cuts while the fog lamp housings have been well integrated into the front bumper. In addition to this, the brand has also tweaked the rear bumper by a bit while the taillights have also been revised. Powering both the sedan and hatchback is a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 86hp and a peak torque of 113Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual as well as an optional AMT gearbox. The brand has officially discontinued its 1.05-litre diesel engine since the upgradation to the BS6 norms would have increased the price tags further losing the bigger chunk of audience. Both cars feature 15-inch alloy wheels in addition to getting a surround sound audio system from Harman as well as multiple driving modes. The brand has further equipped the hatchback and the sedan with automatic climate control and electric wing mirrors.
