MG Motor recently restarted the bookings for the Hector SUV after temporarily suspending the process in July. The brand received an overwhelming response in the Indian market and registered 28,000 bookings in its first phase. Due to heavy demand being witnessed and due to the capacity crunch at the plant of MG Hector situated in Halol, Gujarat, the waiting period regarding some of the bookings has extended beyond 7 months. The thing that draws our interest here is that the brand has used the opportunity to hike the prices of the Hector by 2.5%. The SUV now starts at a price tag of INR 12.48 lakh and goes up to INR 17.28 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom. In the coming months, MG Motor will also be launching its second product which will be the all-electric eZS SUV whereas next year the market will witness the arrival of the three-row version of the MG Hector, which was recently spotted testing in India.
