As per the latest details available, the bookings of the MG Hector will be reopened by the company on October 1, 2019, owing to the festive season. MG Hector entered the Indian market in June this year and since then the SUV has received an impressive response. The first phase of the bookings was temporarily suspended by the company in July after it received a heavy demand of around 28,000 bookings through its online website as well as at the MG dealerships throughout India.
According to current stats, the company is rolling out about 2,000 units per month and is looking forward to increasing the production to about 3,000 units per month in the coming days. The interested customers should also note that these newly booked MG Hectors will take some time before they get delivered as they are expected to reach your doorsteps by the end of this year or by the starting of the next year.
The MG Hector is being offered in a number of engine and gearbox options to the customers. It is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 143HP whereas the 2.0-litre diesel engine churns a maximum power of 170HP. It also has a 48V mild-hybrid variant with a petrol engine. This variant performs 12% better as compared to a standard petrol variant. The company said that in the month of July it had sold about 1,508 units whereas the model was launched on June 27.
