All-New Mahindra Thar Teaser Video Officially Released: A few days ahead of the unveiling event on the Independence Day (15th August), Mahindra has officially released the teaser video of the much-talked-about all-new Thar SUV. The brand is using 'Born Again' tagline to promote the new model of Thar. Here is the official teaser video:

For the first time ever, the Mahindra Thar will also be available with a 6-speed Aisin torque converter automatic gearbox which will be further mated to a diesel engine. The brand is expected to equip the updated SUV with a BS6 2.2-litre diesel engine that will be capable of offering maximum power of 140HP and a peak torque of 300Nm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard while a 4-Wheel-Drive system and a 6-speed automatic transmission will be on offer as an option. It is also being rumoured that the next-gen Mahindra Thar will be available with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option as well. Once launched in India, the new-gen Mahindra Thar is expected to get a starting price tag of around INR 11-12 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2021 model of the SUV is expected to launch in the Indan market in October or November this year while the booking details are expected to be revealed a few days after the unveiling event, which is scheduled to take place on August 15 at the brand's official website.
