Mahindra XUV500 Moonraker is an official upgrade to the stock version of the SUV by the brand. The customizations have been done in-house by Mahindra’s own team and thus, attention to every possible detail has been given appropriately. The modified SUV features an Army Green exterior finish, complemented by the Indian flag studded into the bumper extenders.

The cladding looks massive and joins the lower half of the bumper at both ends. The side profile features a rugged waistline protector and impressive black alloy wheels. The brand has equipped the Mahindra XUV500 Moonraker with massive off-road tyres and custom front bumper inserts that replace the standard fog lights with two LED units on each side.

The roof-mounted rack, along with the massive storage area adds practicality to the car when all seats are occupied with passengers. An equal-sized tailgate-mounted spare wheel completes the exterior additions to the car. The spare wheel seems to be bigger than the space available under the body and thus, this unique placement.

Apart from the unique exterior finish, the Mahindra XUV500 Moonraker is luxury-wrapped on the inside. The interior now features 4 full-sized seats with diamond-quilted leather covers and huge headrests for maximum comfort. The 2nd row of seats features a unique armrest with all controls through the dials.

The star roof-liner on the car feels ultra-luxurious, seen just on very-expensive models from select luxury car manufacturers. The rear end of the SUV has been further equipped with aircraft-inspired exhaust exits. The custom-made Moonraker kit can be installed on both diesel and petrol XUV500 versions, depending on the need of the buyer. As far as the stock model is concerned, XUV500 has been recently discontinued after the introduction of the bigger Mahindra XUV700 in the Indian markets.
