The Mahindra XUV300, an all-new subcompact SUV by the brand was launched in India on 14 February 2019 and as per the official news surfaced, the brand has been able to receive more than 13,000 bookings for the same in a duration of just one month.
The SUV has been known to enter the top 3 subcompact SUVs in India in just a month and has managed to bag 2.50 lakh inquiries. The XUV300 gets a starting price tag of INR 7.90 lakhs for the base variant, and the price range goes all the way up to INR 12.14 lakhs for the top-spec variant. The SUV competes in the market with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Honda WR-V, and the Tata Nexon.
According to the official details, the majority of the bookings (75%) for the SUV has been made for the top spec variants while the brand has dispatched around 4500 units of the XUV300 till date across the country. The high bookings for the SUV can, in turn, lead to a longer waiting period of about 3-4 weeks.
Mahindra XUV300 gets two engine options with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of churning a maximum power of 110 Bhp while the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine is good for 115 Bhp. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The SUV has been equipped with best-in-class features in the top spec variants while it can be availed in four variants: W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O).
