Kia Seltos Mileage Leaked Ahead of Launch: The second-largest automaker of South Korea, Kia Motors is all set to explore the Indian market with its first launch which is a fuel-efficient and feature-loaded premium SUV. Kia’s shout-out is planned on August 22, 2019, with the SUV named as Seltos. Although not much of the information has been revealed about it, the recent reports suggest that the SUV will be available with three BS6-complaint engine options, two petrol and one diesel. Ahead of the official launch, Autocar India has managed to leak the mileage of the Kia Seltos SUV. Here is the engine-wise list of the mileage figures.

This powerful engine is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and also in CVT automatic. The 1.4 turbo-petrol GDI engine produces 140HP of maximum power and 242 Nm of solid torque. This engine will come in a combination of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. As far as the diesel version is concerned, it will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine, which is expected to generate 115HP of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque with a 6-speed manual and auto gearbox option. Since July 16, Kia started accepting bookings for the Seltos SUV with a token amount of INR 25,000 and within one day, the brand received a total of 6000+ pre-bookings and 1,628 bookings from the company’s website itself. The Seltos will be retailed at 265 touchpoints in 160 Indian cities. The top-end model of Seltos with come with loads of features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heads-up display, 360-degree view camera, sunroof and more. Kia’s Seltos will compete with other mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks, and the recently launched MG Hector. Kia Seltos is expected to get a price range of around 11-17 lakhs (ex-showroom).
