Hyundai Santro is now official for India, starting with a price tag of INR 3,89,900. The car is available in 9 variants, two of them carrying CNG feature and two with AMT as standard. The Magna and Sportz variant are the most versatile ones across the lineup while buyers looking for class-leading features must consider the Santro Asta at INR 5,45,900. The top-spec variant comes with a reverse parking camera, parking sensors and rear wiper/washer as segment-first features. Those going for the Sportz variant can get steering mounted controls, rear defogger, and touchscreen infotainment system in the package.
Both the top-level variants are available with full wheel caps. Buyers of the Magna trim are offered with rear AC vents, power windows, 2-DIN audio system (AMT only), and body colored bumpers. The base variant is completely empty in comparison to the other variants getting ABS with EBD and driver airbag but loses on the air conditioner and front power windows, both of which are available on the Era variant. It is hard to manage everything without the basic necessity features and getting Magna or above trim guarantees no additional accessory fitment at the time of purchase. Santro is powered by a 1.1L, 4-cylinder motor producing 69 HP of maximum power.
New Hyundai Santro rivals Maruti Celerio and Tata Tiago in its segment, offering 20.3 kmpl of claimed mileage and impressive list of features. Here is a complete price list for Santro variants in India, including both CNG as well as AMT variants on their respective petrol counterparts.
