Hyundai Venue Base Variant Spotted (Live Photos): Hyundai is all set to launch its next product for India, the subcompact Venue SUV, which is coming on May 21, 2019. The brand has already started accepting online and dealer level bookings for the upcoming car in India. The Venue made its public debut on April 17, but the model displayed at the unveiling event was the top variant. What you see here is the base variant of Hyundai Venue SUV. As expected, the model seen in these pictures misses a lot of equipment in comparison to what the brand will offer on the top variant. Article image The Hyundai Venue base variant misses projector headlamps, while the daytime running lamps have been replaced by a chrome outline and there are no front fog lamps. This particular model gets conventional fender-mounted turn indicators instead of the one mounted on the wing mirrors. There is no additional cladding on the doors, and the door handles don't get the premium chrome finish. The stylish alloy wheels of the top-spec variant have been replaced by steel wheels with plastic covers. The kind of equipment deletion that this entry-level SUV has gone, we can expect that it will miss out on the sunroof and the new connected touchscreen infotainment system as well. Article image Mechanically, the Hyundai Venue will be available with three engine options: 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.4-litre diesel, and an all-new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Gearbox choices would be a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and a new 7-speed DCT that would be available only on the 1.0-litre turbo petrol option. The upcoming SUV will also set the benchmark for connectivity in the compact SUV segment by introducing "Hyundai Blue Link" that would offer 33 connectivity features, out of which 10 would be India-specific. Article image This new Hyundai SUV is expected to be priced from INR 8 lakhs to INR 12 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will rival the Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V, and the recently launched Mahindra XUV300. Photos Source
