2018 Hyundai i20 Elite has been officially launched @ Auto Expo 2018 for INR 5.34 lakh. This makes the car perfectly in competition with Maruti Baleno. Majority of changes are visual but buyers now get a new CVT gearbox option and upgraded infotainment system along with other changes.
The car seen here comes with reworked front fascia. Design lines are clearer than ever with updated Hyundai grill. It was first expected to carry major changes in terms of design and components but the one seen here keeps changes just to the visual part.

Body profile, frame and everything under the skin remains exactly the same as present generation Elite i20. The changes are seen on the boot area as Hyundai has brought a premium looking, BMW style tail light design for Elite i20. It will surely work for them.
The tyre section seen here is exactly the same in terms of shape and size as 2017 model. However, inclusion of new alloy wheel design makes it look fresher than ever. Buyers also get a redesigned rear bumper area with number plate section moving up on the boot lid.
Dual tone finished interior with beige and black combination makes it look awesome in front of all black hatchback interiors. Buyers will now get a new 7 inch touchscreen system that comes with Auto-link option from Hyundai.
They have retain the same set of engines for 2018 Hyundai i20 as these are quite powerful when compared to the competition around them. The 1.4L, four cylinder diesel engine is good for 88.7 BHP at 4000 rpm and 219.6 Nm at 1500-2750 rpm.
The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Petrol motor, on the other hand, is 1197cc, four cylinder unit producing 81.8 BHP at 6000 rpm and 114.7 Nm at 4000 rpm. The CVT variant will launch in May and will be available on just petrol engine.
