The 2020 Hyundai Creta (ix25) has leaked again in a new set of photos. As we already know, the next-gen Creta will be based on the new model of the ix25 SUV. In addition to the images, the official specs and features of the upcoming SUV have also surfaced online. The second-gen ix25 (Hyundai Creta) is based on the design language of the full-size Hyundai Palisade SUV.
The overall height of the 2020 model of the Hyundai Creta (ix25) has been reduced by 2mm-11mm depending on the variant while the width and length of the SUV have been increased by 10mm. The ix25 (New Creta) will measure 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,620/1,635mm in height. The wheelbase of the upcoming SUV has also been increased by 20mm, which now stands at 2,610mm.
Coming to the interiors, the 2020 Hyundai Creta (ix25) will get a floating console at the centre mated to the floor console. The brand has equipped a larger touchscreen infotainment system while one can expect many other premium offerings with the SUV. The next-gen Hyundai Creta will also feature a panoramic sunroof while the car gets split LED headlamps and tail lamps as well as a 360-degree parking camera. The brand is also likely to feature an electronic parking brake with the upcoming model.
Powering the SUV will be a G4FL 1.5L four-cylinder petrol engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 115 HP and a peak torque of 144 Nm. The brand promises a mileage of 18.8 kmpl with the upcoming SUV while the top speed will stand at 175 kmph. The brand is expected to launch the SUV with two other engine variants though no confirmation has been made on the same. As of now, Hyundai has no plans to launch a 4x4 model of the next-gen Creta (ix25).
As per the reports, Hyundai is also working on a 7-seater variant of the Hyundai Creta which will feature a Kia Seltos-inspired 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is good for 140HP of maximum power and a maximum torque of 242 Nm. The turbo-petrol engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is also being said that Hyundai will unveil the India-spec 2020 Creta at the Auto Expo in February 2020.
