The BS6 Honda Civic Diesel has been officially launched in India with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 20.75 lakhs for the VX variant while the top-spec ZX variant is available with a price tag of INR 22.35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The premium D-segment sedan is powered by a 1597cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC, turbocharged, i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 120 HP of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The company-claimed mileage figure for the BS6-compliant Honda Civic Diesel stands at 23.9 kmpl.

With the introduction of the BS6 Diesel version of our iconic sedan Honda Civic, our entire sedan lineup will offer the choice of both Petrol and Diesel to cater to our esteemed customers. The Diesel Civic is available in Manual Transmission and will appeal to customers looking for sheer driving pleasure."
