MG Motor is ready to gain some traction in the Indian market. MG Motors India recently started their Facebook page with a promo video of their association with pop culture. Their official website even describes their growth in this industry from time to time. MG stands for Morris Garages and the brand actually comes out to be almost 100 years old. The timeline shows impressive machines lined up by their year of origin. The range starts with 1924 model and ends on 2016 MG ZS crossover in their brand history. Since the starting year, MG has almost 500 owners of these vintage beauties in India. https://www.facebook.com/MGMotorIN/videos/471101203287220/ The UK lineup of MG Motor has 3 cars that includes a hatchback, a compact SUV and ZS crossover. All three of them have the potential to perform in the Indian market. MG has inaugurated its production facility in India back in September 2017. Investment of INR 2000 Crore has been made on the facility that could produce as much as 80,000 cars annually. The first car from the brand will make its way into the sales market in 2019 while Auto Expo 2018 will serve as a platform for brand presence and popularity. Still, experts are even picking a point that they may introduce a hybrid product to gain maximum profits out of the environment friendly appeal of the government. Their entry level MG3 hatchback is quite an aggressive product in itself. It comes powered by a 106 HP, 1.5L petrol engine in the international market. India spec car may use a smaller engine as this will raise the overall cost due to higher tax slab in the country. They may miss on certain European spec safety features for India on their cars.
