Candy Daring Red Suzuki Katana Launched in Japan

Suzuki unveiled the limited-edition Candy Daring Red colour option for the very famous Suzuki Katana in the Japanese markets back on April 1, 2020, but the brand delayed the launch due to Coronavirus pandemic. After delaying the launch for 9 months, Suzuki has now officially launched the Katana Red Limited Edition in the Japanese markets with a price tag of JPY 15,95,000 (INR 11.26 lakhs) for the new colour. In addition to the Candy Daring Red Suzuki Katana, the customers can avail the motorcycle in the already existing Mystic Silver Metallic and Glass Sparkle Black colour schemes at JPY 15,40,000 (INR 10.87 lakhs). It must be noted that the Red colour option is limited to just 100 units. The overall glossy red colour scheme offered to the motorcycle imparts it a unique look that is different from the other colour variants. The brand has equipped the limited-edition model of Suzuki Katana sports bike with red-coloured alloy wheels. In addition to this, the golden accents offered to the USD forks at the front as well as the handlebar unit adds to the interesting contrast. Further making the Candy Daring Red Suzuki Katana stand out from the rest, the brand has offered the motorcycle with red stitching on the single-piece saddle that compliments the dual-tone profile further. Apart from the addition of a red colour scheme, the motorcycle remains cosmetically and mechanically unaltered. Powering the Red Suzuki Katana is the same 999cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 150HP @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 108Nm @ 9,500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The sports machine from the brand has been equipped with LED headlight at the front mated to LED DRLs. The brand has offered the motorcycle with a semi-fairing which further features bold body accents. The motorcycle gets a fully-digital instrument console while the sportier stance is enhanced by clip-on handlebar unit and a flowing rear end. Suzuki officially showcased the resurrected variant of Katana for the Indian markets back at the Auto Expo in February 2020 while one can expect the motorcycle to launch in our country later this year with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 10 lakhs.
