The BSA Gold Star 650 has gained two new colour choices in India: Birmingham Blue at ₹3,55,950 and Brooklands Black Legacy Edition at ₹3,64,950, both ex-showroom. The update gives the retro roadster two distinct finishes while retaining its existing mechanical package. Buyers are choosing a different look rather than a more powerful version, and the existing colours remain on sale.
BSA Gold Star 650 new colours and prices
| Colour | Ex-showroom price | Main visual treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Birmingham Blue | ₹3,55,950 | Navy blue bodywork with dark mechanical components |
| Brooklands Black Legacy Edition | ₹3,64,950 | Black and chrome with a brighter metal finish |
The ₹9,000 difference between the two new options comes from their listed ex-showroom prices. It is not a comparison of on-road quotations: registration, insurance and other applicable charges must be checked separately for the buyer's location.
How Birmingham Blue and Brooklands Black differ
Birmingham Blue uses a glossy navy shade across the fuel tank, fenders and side panels. A white stripe runs along the tank, while dark engine components, mirrors and exhaust give it a more subdued appearance.
Brooklands Black Legacy Edition takes the brighter route. Its black-and-chrome tank, chrome fenders and brushed aluminium engine finish create a stronger contrast with the black side panels. Fine gold detailing adds another distinction between the two treatments.

What changes for a Gold Star buyer?
The colour announcement does not introduce a mechanical upgrade. The Gold Star retains its 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and five-speed gearbox, with the same underlying frame, suspension and wheel package.
That makes finish and budget the relevant decisions here. Birmingham Blue suits someone looking for darker components and coordinated blue bodywork; Brooklands Black Legacy Edition favours the traditional contrast of black paint and polished metal. Neither new colour should be treated as evidence of extra performance or new equipment.
Existing colours continuing on sale also means the two additions are not the only choices. Before paying a premium for a finish, compare the actual motorcycles in daylight, confirm the colour and edition on the dealer quotation, and ask about local stock and the final on-road amount. The announcement alone does not establish a delivery date for every dealership.
The BSA Gold Star 650 new colours broaden the roadster's visual appeal without changing its mechanical identity. The choice is a straightforward one: the darker Birmingham Blue finish or the more chrome-rich Brooklands Black Legacy Edition, with a ₹9,000 ex-showroom gap between them.
