Yamaha WR155R India Launch by End 2021: According to a recent media report, the Yamaha WR155R off-road bike is expected to be launched in India by the end of this year or in early 2022. If or when launched in India, it would be the first off-road motorcycle from the brand to be launched on the Indian shores. The report further suggests that the launch of the Yamaha WR155R is currently being studied for the Indian markets. If the brand would be capable of allotting it a competitive price tag in India in addition to getting a positive response from the customers, the motorcycle will reportedly be launched sometime in the year 2021 or in early 2022. Article image As the off-road motorcycle segment is one of the most sought-after segments of the present era, the launch of WR155R could fill in the gap that exists between the very famous Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Hero XPulse 200. If launched in India, the Yamaha WR155R is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.60 lakhs. Since the WR155R features the same engine that is also equipped on the Yamaha R15 V3, it would be easy for the brand to bring it to the Indian markets at an affordable price tag. Powering the WR155R is the 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 16.5 BHP and a peak torque of 14.3 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Article image The kerb weight of the Yamaha WR155R adventure motorcycle stands at 134kg while the ground clearance stands at 245mm. The seat height of the Yamaha WR155R stands at 880mm while the suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic forks at the front and the rear has been equipped with a monoshock unit. The brand has equipped the off-road motorcycle with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel while the braking setup includes disc brakes at either side.
