Recently, TVS Apache RR 310S was acknowledged publicly for the first time by TVS officials. According to their official comment, they have accepted that BMW has a product on the same platform (G310R) but both of them will be placed in two totally different segments. The customer base of these machines would be different and not just that, they will carry a huge gap between the pricing. The alliance between both the brands will stay as BMW needs affordable manufacturing and TVS could use the technology in some of its products. TVS-Apache-RTR-310-Akula

TVS Apache RR 310S to Arrive Before BMW G310R

Mr Arun Siddharth, Vice President, Marketing, Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, said: BMW Motorrad also has a bike on the same platform, we will be showing our bike soon, despite being on the same platform they will cater to different customers and the intent will be very different. As far as the partnership with BMW is concerned the idea is to bring the synergies on the hardware together though the brand positioning will be very different. TVS-Apache-RTR-310-Akula-2

BMW G310R

The story is same as seen in the case of Bajaj and KTM. The former used technology from the latter to produce Dominar 400 and other products. The price gap between Dominar 400 and 390 Duke is huge and same can be expected from the new TVS Apache RR 310S and BMW G310R. However, the faired motorcycle definitely needs more input than the naked machine and hence, the gap could exist for around INR 60,000 (expected). TVS Apache RR 310S will launch in July-Aug 2017 with an expected price tag of around INR 1.60 lakhs while BMW G310R will only make into India around the end of 2017 with an expected price tag of around INR 2.20 lakhs. zoom_16
