The brand-wise 2-wheeler sales report for October 2019 witnessed an overall decline in the sales for the major two-wheeler manufacturers with only two lucky ones to register minimal growth. The recent downfall in the Indian automotive sector is one of the reasons for most of the brands suffering from loss in sales.
In addition to this, one can also justify the recent downfall as major customers are waiting around for the BS6-compliant motorcycles to be rolled out in the coming months.
As usual, topping the list is Hero MotoCorp being able to witness a total of 5,86,988 units in October 2019. Comparing the recently-registered sales figure with 7,16,059 units registered in October 2018, the brand has suffered a downfall in the total sales by 18%.
The second brand on the list is Honda, witnessing a total sales of 4,87,819 units in October 2019 though witnessing a minimal decline in total sales by 0.5% when compared to 4,90,135 units sold in the same month last year.
The third and fourth spot on the list has been bagged by TVS and Bajaj (including KTM) being able to witness a total of 2,52,684 units and 2,42,516 units respectively in October 2019. On the fifth spot is Royal Enfield that has registered a total sales of 67,538 units in October 2019 though witnessing an overall decline by 3.6% when compared to October 2018.
Taking the next spot is Suzuki being able to register a total of 66,215 units in October 2019 and registering an increase in total sales by 7.2%. The seventh and eighth spot has been bagged by Yamaha and Piaggio being able to register a total of 46,082 and 6,464 units respectively.
The brand-wise two-wheeler sales reports for October 2019 has Kawasaki on the ninth spot which is the second brand to register an increase in sales. The brand has witnessed a total of 406 units in October 2019 and registered an increase in sales by 21.6%.
The last candidates of the list include Mahindra 2-wheelers, Harley-Davidson and Triumph registering only 262 units, 240 units and 50 units respectively in October 2019.
