BS6 Royal Enfield Classic Fully Revealed in a New Set of Photos

BS6 Royal Enfield Classic is the most happening product for India, clearly seen in the spy shots that are the best ones available on the internet till date. The model is seen with revised design and components, starting with the iconic headlight casing that now looks a bit more squarish in comparison to the last-gen model. The headlight is round and still carries the chrome cap that is seen from the first generation model. The indicators are available with yellow caps while suspension and tire setup looks more or less similar to the current-gen Classic variants (both 350 and 500). The fuel tank is similar in design to the current model, with stickers missing on the test mule to keep the pattern as a surprise for the 2020 buyers. The biggest change here is visible on the engine, with all new design and compact placement of the components. The kick-starter goes missing while brake lever is now a different unit with a chopper-like design. BS6 Royal Enfield Classic comes with different rear seat design, a practical grab rail, and new tail light. The model comes with a new frame instead of the single downtube unit. This change could drastically reduce vibrations. The new engine and frame combination will focus on ride comfort while switching the side for the chain and brakes will also play its role in the same. The rear suspension seems to offer a better set of springs while lack of any sticker on the prototype model left the fact unverified if the engine is a 499cc or 346cc unit. However, the chances are higher for fuel injected 346cc unit as the 499cc engine could be scrapped to save money after the BS6 norms are applied to the motorcycles. The small sales number along with the factor that these updates will take the pricing even closer to the twin cylinder Interceptor could be the reason to continue with the smaller engine.
